Gavin is 1 week old, and Sean is 34. If Gavin turns out to be as wonderful as his Daddy is, I will be one proud mom. That sounds cheesy, but it is true. Sean is the most wonderful father and husband anyone could ask for...and he is 34. Yes, 34...what once sounded "old" now feels young. Hmmm...
So we've learned a few things in the last week. Here they are:
1) Gavin knows that night is night and day is day. He knew it from the start. Way to go!!
2) Despite #1, 3 hours of sleep at a time is not enough.
3) The car seat is a torture chamber. He hates it, I mean HATES it. Minor outings are major ordeals. Let's hope that changes sometime soon. Aren't they supposed to "instantly" put babies to sleep? We clearly have the wrong model.
4) Olivia is a doting big sister, and she keeps us on our toes. Gavin was whimpering in the other room, and she came to me and said "Gavin needs some milk. You should go feed him." Our little boss.
5) We wouldn't be making it right now if it weren't for the support of family in friends. Thanks so much to everyone who has made dinners, watched Olivia, etc.
