Deck the Halls on Repeat

The Christmas tree is complete! We had so much fun decorating it together. Continuing in the spirit that she is big enough to handle anything smaller than her, Olivia felt she should be able to hang all of the fragile ornaments (look mommy, this one is glass!). Once we worked that out, it was alot of fun. My favorites are always the handmade ones the kids create. You can see some Olivia did this year in the picture below (to the right of Gavin's head).

When we finished, I wanted to get some cute pictures of both kids in front of the tree, but that was not happening. We'll try again another day. Olivia was very upset because as soon as we were done she said "let's do it again!" You know, just like one of her puzzles. As soon as the last piece is in, she dumps it out to experience the fun of putting it together one more time (or five or six). While on many things I indulge her requests, I just couldn't do it with the Christmas tree. Because, unlike her, when we hang that last ornament, I'm thinking "whew, it's done!"

Gavin, though, was very happy. Perhaps that is because he is 3 months old today! Our little cutie is a very sweet boy. He loves to snuggle and pays lots of attention when you talk to him. As you can see, his smile is as big as ever.
